Christmas is nearly here and that means The Viking Museum’s Restaurant Eld will be offering an historic Christmas lunch.
During weekends in November and December, there will be the possibility to have a first class Christmas lunch at the restaurant. The food will be served as a buffet at the table.
Herring, salmon, cheeses and cold cuts will be served as starter. The main course consists of wild boar with smoked plums, deer and brisket, together with Jansson (Swedish Christmas dish), potatoes, pickled cucumber, cauliflower and onions, creamed kale, different kinds of mustard, beet salad and lingonberry.
Dessert will be an almond cake, a lingonberry chessecake with gingerbread crumbs and a saffron panna cotta.
It will be possible to book a table for the Christmas buffet between November 30th and December 22nd, on Saturdays and Sundays. Sittings are two hours maximum and you can book a table at either 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 or 15:00.
Please note that in order to book a table for the Christmas buffet, you have to be four people or more in your company.
