Welcome to The Viking Museum
Who were the Vikings really? Is there any truth to the popular image of bearded men who pillaged and conquered throughout Europe?
The Viking Museum in Stockholm is an interactive museum for all ages, where myth meets truth. Here, you don’t only get to learn about the brave seafarers and raids of the Viking Age, but also the women, children and men home at the farms. There are always guides in Viking Age attire to speak with in the exhibition, as well as archeological findings and plenty of fascinating topics to dive into.
The museum’s ride, Ragnfrid’s Saga, is a literal journey back in time. You get to follow in Harald’s footsteps as he goes on a Viking raid through 10th century Europe. It’s a story of family, courage, sorrow and love.
At The Viking Museum, you get to step into a world of mythology and adventure and explore Viking Age people’s way of life up close. Through movies, sound effects, artifacts, stories and historical environments, one of history’s most mythical periods comes alive again.
