Midsummer at the museum

20/6/25

Staying in Stockholm over Midsummer? We have a historical alternative for you!

On Midsummer’s Eve, The Viking Museum invites you to a unique and atmospheric summer tradition – a Viking-era blot. We begin with a themed guided tour inside the museum at 2:30 PM, followed by a ceremony and song outside at 3:00 PM.

The blot is included in the admission ticket, and everyone curious about what a summer ceremony might have looked like a thousand years ago is warmly welcome!

Restaurant Eld has also prepared a delicious Midsummer menu featuring Scandinavian delicacies, a grilled platter, and strawberry cake. The menu is designed to be shared and costs 980 SEK for two people.

Warm welcome!
