24/10/24-1/11/26
In the darkness of the autumn break, creatures from the Viking Age come to life at The Viking Museum. Join a spooky family tour and hear a draugr, a Viking Age zombie, tell tales from a world where the boundary between the living and the dead was not always so clear.
Do you dare to meet the Völva and let her foretell your future? Don’t miss the Monster Hunt either, where the whole family can search for strange creatures from the Viking Age and Norse mythology and collect them in their very own Bestiary.
During your visit, you can also meet Vikings, explore historical environments and experience the dramatised ride Ragnfrid’s Saga.
Just in time for the autumn break, it will be even easier for the whole family to discover the Viking Age. From 24 October, children under the age of 15 can enjoy free admission to The Viking Museum when accompanied by an adult. Tickets will be released soon.
Welcome to an autumn break filled with history, storytelling and just the right amount of chills on Djurgården.
On 31 October, there will also be a special themed tour about blót, Viking Age sacrificial ceremonies, at 2:30 PM (replacing the regular Swedish-language tour).
