Restaurant Eld at The Viking Museum offers mead tastings! It will be a flavorful journey through the history of the mythical mead that you and your company will not soon forget. If you have an interest in mead, beer or history, this deepdive into the Viking’s favourite drink is the experience for you.
The mead tasting will be led by one of the museum’s knowledgeable guides who will talk about the myths surrounding the Norse gods and their connection to mead, as well as the importance of the drink to the people of the Viking Age. The tasting consists of one type of mölska and six types of mead, ranging from the driest to the sweetest. The drink is accompanied by a charcuterie board, made entirely from Swedish ingredients.
