Restaurant Eld at The Viking Museum offers mead tastings! It will be a flavorful journey through the history of the mythical mead that you and your company will not soon forget. If you have an interest in mead, beer or history, this deepdive into the Viking’s favourite drink is the experience for you.
The mead tasting is held by one of the museum’s knowledgeable guides who will speak about the myths surrounding the Norse gods and their connection to mead, as well as what the beverage meant to Viking Age people. The tasting will consist of two types of braggot (a type of honey beer) and six types of mead. A charcuterie board, completely made from Swedish produce, will also be served with the mead.
