Are you looking for a unique venue for an event? The Viking Museum and Restaurant Eld are available for private dinners, children’s parties, corporate events, and other types of gatherings. We tailor each event to your wishes!
Party venue
When we have closed for the day, you have the opportunity to have the museum to yourselves. Combine dinner at our restaurant with a guided tour in the museum and the adventure ride, Ragnfrid’s Saga. If you wish to have a welcome drink in the exhibition, Viking- style activities or a dancefloor after dinner, we can of course accommodate that!
KICK-OFF
Are you and your co-workers looking for something different to do? Book your kick-off or company party at The Viking Museum and we will plan the event to suit your group specifically. Follow our guides on an exciting tour of the museum, have Viking-inspired team building activities and finish with a lovely dinner at the restaurant.
Weddings
Have your wedding make history! The Viking Museum has hosted several weddings. Regardless if you want a traditional wedding or a theme wedding, with Viking Age attire and a heathen ceremony, we are the place for you. Contact us and we will work together to make your day perfect.
Mead Tastings
We offer mead tastings! Take a deep dive into the Viking’s favorite beverage mead, that you and your company will soon forget. If you have an interest in mead, beer or history this is the experience for you!
THE ARCHAEOLOGIST’S CHALLENGE
Try The Viking Museum’s own interactive, archaeology-themed mystery!
An archaeologist has mysteriously disappeared in the middle of an excavation, leaving behind notes, a diary, and archaeological finds. Can you complete the archaeologist’s challenge by dating and identifying the buried individual?
Working together as a group, you’ll use clues, signs, and screens throughout the exhibition to solve the mystery – a perfect (and delightfully nerdy) team-building activity for history enthusiasts!
Senior Package
We also offer package deals for seniors, where lunch is combined with a guided tour of the museum. Price: SEK 395 per person. The package includes:
– Entrance to the museum
– A 20-minute guided tour
– The adventure ride Ragnfrid’s Saga
– Lunch at Restaurant Eld
Children’s Birthday Parties
Book The Viking Museum’s popular children’s birthday parties – we combine an exciting experience with learning! Gather the children for a memorable party, with fun activities and an interesting tour of the exhibition, held by one of our knowledgeable guides. The adventure ride, Ragnfrid’s Saga, also awaits the truly brave.
Party Package:
Price: 465 SEK/child. Minimum charge 3.500 SEK.
The price includes three accompanying adults. Recommended age 7-12 years.
The birthday party can be booked between 11:00-12:30 or 14:00-15:30 on weekends.
12 participating children (including younger siblings) maximum.
Children’s birthday parties can only be booked during the period September-May.
Always included in the party package:
– Entrance to The Viking Museum for the entire company.
– Interactive guided tour for children.
– Rune hunt: an appreciated activity where the children search for the hidden runes with the aid of clues. They all receive a Rune Hunter Diploma at the end.
– A bag of candy for each child.
– The adventure ride Ragnfrid’s Saga.
– Hamburger plate or cake with a juice drink.
