Restaurant Eld
Restaurant Eld – A Nordic Dining Experience
Welcome to Restaurant Eld on Djurgården in Stockholm, where the ingredients and the seasons set the direction. We work with Nordic flavours and genuine culinary craftsmanship, with every dish prepared from scratch and served in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Our menu evolves continuously in response to seasonal produce and a clear commitment to sustainability. We work closely with our suppliers, allowing availability, quality and flavour to guide each dish. Here, the food is meant not only to nourish, but also to engage and to tell a story.
Restaurang Eld is a natural part of the museum experience at The Viking Museum, and at the same time a destination in its own right for lunch, dinner and private events in a unique setting.

Mead tasting with a guide
We offer mead tastings! It will be a taste journey through the history of the mythical mead that you and your company will never forget. If you have a burning interest in mead, beer or history, this deep dive into the Vikings’ favorite drink is for you.
Do-it-yourself mead tasting
If you would rather try mead on your own, you can add a mead tasting tray when you buy your entrance ticket to The Viking Museum. You can choose three kinds of mead and one braggot. An information sheet is included.
This offer is available every day and can be added as an option when purchasing your ticket online or directly at the restaurant.
Christmas dinner
Restaurant Eld presents the most atmospheric Christmas dining of the year! The dining room, overlooking the wintry views of Skeppsholmen and Wasahamnen, is decked from floor to ceiling with festive décor — complete with a magnificent Christmas tree and a tempting table of sweets.
Instead of a buffet, traditional Swedish Christmas dishes are served directly to your table in three courses, all with a modern twist. Every dish is prepared from scratch using Swedish ingredients, with a focus on game meat and sustainability.
