We have something for all types of museum visitors. Explore the museum with our audio guide or join one of our daily guided tours in Swedish or English. Ragnfrids Saga
The museum’s ride, Ragnfrid’s Saga, takes you on an exciting adventure through 10th century Europe. The story begins at Frösala farm, where Ragnfrid and Harald live together with their daughter Sigrid. Harald has wasted all of the family’s money and has to go out on a Viking Raid in order to win back their fortune and honor.
The ride lasts for eleven minutes and is available in the following languages: Swedish, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Finnish and Chinese.
We recommend that children under 7 years are accompanied by an adult on the ride.
Plan your visit
- We are a cash free museum, but we accept all types of cards in the entrance, shop and restaurant.
- The Viking Museum has a free admission for all refugees. Show the LMA card from the Swedish Migration Agency or your passport at the entrance.
Bags and backpacks
- – We follow the Swedish Police Authority’s bag ban.
- – Bags larger than 32 x 37 x 39 cm are not allowed inside the museum.
- – Backpacks must be stored in lockers or carried by hand in the exhibition areas.
- – Exceptions are made for people who need to bring a bag inside the museum for medical reasons and for people with children who need to bring a nappy bag.
- – Unattended bags and belongings will be removed immediately for security reasons.
Storage
- – Lockers are available for coats, bags, backpacks, and folded umbrellas.
- – Locker dimensions: 32 x 37 x 39 cm.
- – The museum is not responsible for items stored in the lockers.
Strollers
- – During public holidays, school breaks, and the summer season, we kindly ask you to park your stroller outside the museum. A stroller parking area is located on the side of the building facing the park. The museum does not take responsibility for strollers left outside.
- – During the low season, you are welcome to bring your stroller into the museum. If you prefer not to, stroller parking is available outside the museum by the park.
- – Unattended strollers inside the museum may be removed.
