Summer is finally here and The Viking Museum are ready to welcome families with children from all over the world, whether the sun is shining or the rain is pouring!
We have extended opening hours, 10.00-19.00 every day, from June 15 to August 18.
During the summer, our guides will demonstrate different Viking Age crafts in the exhibition. Visitors can try grinding flour with a historically correct mill stone, making their own Viking Age coin or getting their fortune told by a seeress, among other things.
There are guided tours in English, held by our Vikings, every day at 11.30, 13.30, 14.30, 16.30 and 17.30. There will always be Vikings in the exhibition to speak and ask questions to. Our popular children’s activities ‘Tiny’ and ‘Rune hunt’ are also available if you whish to explore the museum on your own.
