Experience a Viking Age Boatbuilding!
From September 12–14, you’ll have the chance to witness Viking Age boatbuilding live, right outside The Viking Museum and Vrak, as marine archaeologist Håkan Altrock continues work on his Viking boat replica. Naturally, our Vikings will be assisting in the boatbuilding! Our head guide Jacob will be on site on Friday, and our archaeologist Askur will be there on Saturday and Sunday.
All our guided tours will finish at the boatbuilding site, so why not begin your experience inside The Viking Museum.
Håkan’s boatbuilding usually takes place out on Birka and has also been featured in SVT’s hit series The History of Sweden – and now you can experience it in real life!
